Life, the Universe, and Everything

On Saturday, I finished Life, the Universe, and Everything by Douglas Adams. It's the third book in the mislabeled Hitchhiker's trilogy. (I know I said that I was going to start my class reading...but I didn't.)

The book was decent. It was moderately funny, the very end was clever, and there were a few good scenes with the major characters.

I have a very strong suspicion that Douglas Adams wrote these books in one go and only reread them (if at all) to check for spelling errors. The plot and structure certainly flow that way.

But they are what they promise to be: absurd, entertaining, and depressing and funny at the same time.
